The vast majority of credit requests are made by telephone. However, when your request is accepted, you will need to make an appointment with one of our advisors who will examine your supporting documents and give you the credit contract for signature.

Do I have to change banks to get a loan from CPE?

No way. The amount of your credit is paid to your usual current account.

I am going to divorce, is it possible to repay an existing loan on my own?

You must first be divorced to consider this solution or have a property separation contract. You can take out a loan to buy out your former spouse's share. If you have a mortgage loan in both names, you can continue to repay it alone if your income is sufficient to repay the initial monthly payment (decoupling of the loan), which requires the agreement of the lending bank. If the monthly payment proves too high, we could refinance the remaining balance of the mortgage loan over a longer term through another bank.

My application for credit has been denied. How long do I have to wait to reapply?

You must wait three months and one day to reapply.

Can I apply for credit simultaneously with several different brokers?

Especially not. If you submit several credit requests to different brokers, your request will probably be refused because the Personal Credit Center will consider that they are different credits.

What are the consequences of being registered with the National Bank of Belgium?

You can no longer borrow on the credit market. In order to have your file cancelled, you must repay the outstanding amounts and then wait 15 months for the file to be cancelled by the National Bank of Belgium.

If your application is accepted, we will schedule an appointment for you at one of our agencies so that you can sign your credit contract.
