Do I have to come to your offices to apply for credit?

The vast majority of credit requests are made by telephone. However, when your request is accepted, you will need to make an appointment with one of our advisors who will examine your supporting documents and give you the credit contract for signature.

I received approval for my credit application. How long is this agreement valid?

Once agreement has been obtained from one of our partners, you have three weeks to sign your credit contract. After this period, your agreement is no longer valid and our advisors would then be obliged to submit a new file.

Which interest rate is best for me?

What is fixed interest rate? In this formula, you benefit from an interest rate which will be identical for the entire duration of the execution of the loan / mortgage credit. This is a particularly interesting formula when rates are low and likely to increase over time. Currently interest rates are historically low and this is therefore the ideal formula. What is the semi-fixed interest rate? In this formula, you benefit from a fixed rate for a period of 10 years and then a rate review takes place. This formula is interesting when rates are likely to increase in the future. What is the graduated interest rate? In this formula, you repay more interest than capital. The monthly payments are linked to the index and increase by €30 to €40 every two years. This is a particularly interesting formula for young people whose professional salary is expected to increase over the course of their career.

I am a tenant. Can I take out a long-term loan (84 to 120 months)?

70% of Belgians own property in Belgium. To the extent that a person who rents does not offer the same guarantees as a person who owns their home, their ability to borrow is limited unless there are exceptions. At CPE we generally limit a tenant's borrowing capacity to 60 months but there may be exceptions, particularly if a guarantee is agreed with the tenant. I don't have much income. Can I take into account my family allowance to increase my borrowing capacity?

No. The law does not allow child benefit payments to be used for credit purposes.

Is it possible to prepay?

Yes, this is a right inherent in any type of loan.

In what form will I receive my money?

You will receive your money as a transfer to your current account within three working days at most.

In Belgium, we cannot postpone a payment deadline. If you have lost your job, you should contact us immediately. We can offer you a solution to settle your outstanding credit and offer you a new one. By doing so, we will already gain a deadline.
