A brief word of explanation on the method of Fee calculation :

Registration fees vary depending on where you live. You may be able to get a reduced registration fee rate if you buy a modest house. In Flanders, the rate is 5% and in Wallonia 6%. The modest dwelling depends on your cadastral income and the number of dependent children:

Cadastral income of €745 if you have no more than 2 dependent children;
Cadastral income of €845 if you have 3 or 4 dependent children;
Cadastral income of €945 if you have 5 or 6 dependent children;
Cadastral income of €1045 if you have 7 dependent children or more.

Registration fees are a tax that is linked to the registration of a property sale in Belgium.

Notary fees are set by Royal Decree and are the same for all notaries.

The amount of registration fees and notary fees are provided for by law. The notary calculates them in relation to the sale price of the property. They are collected by the notary who will then pay them to the tax authorities concerned. It should be noted that these costs vary depending on whether the property is located in Wallonia, Flanders or Brussels.
